    Twin Toysport Triton

Got a deal on some hardware... transom was all for it...

here is the hull for starters

Epoxied in a ply transom - it is all fiberglass and gel - no ply at all.

More updates soon - got the boom mounted and two stingers. Gonna run a couple Feigao 9L motors for now on 2-3 S to get started.

here is the mock up. holes are drilled, minimal bolts tight, nothing inside hull yet. Still manufacturing twin motor mount. Thinking aluminum bolting to 4" rails.

Thanks Jason! yep, pretty happy how the rudder boom ended up working out, I was worried the props would have to be too far apart, but I think this is a reasonable spread.

and Yes, the struts can come down to the base of the transom, so yes adjustability is KEY for this guy. I got a replacement rudder comin from Fuller, should be a perfect fit... now for laying some stringers and then the flex tubing....

Probably main reason is its more than twice the work - and you are battling with keeping everything as close together as possible, and then that rudder!! where the hell does it go? also twin motor mounts are not just kicking around like buttered popcorn on the floor at the dollar movies.

Peter Zicha is gonna work me some CNC love on this motor mount... I am probably gonna line her up with some CF - just cause it will be that much cooler. It couldn't hurt adding stiffness given that it will have its little belly full of electronics!

I'm checkin the snailbox everyday.... maybe I'm lookin for too small of a box.

Thanks guys, yes props snugged together, but want to avoid the common complaint uttered by the first post after somebody says,"can I put twins on my deep vee hull?" I figure with a low angle vee and props almost touching, she ought to steer alright.

I got some CF comin and my 1/8" ply for the stringers. Just mounted up turn fins and waitin on some OFE trim tabs and props.

I hope my main man Egneg is up for some sharpening...

Isn't that better? I was thoroughly unchallenged when setting up the now Jason's DF 29 and unsurprised at how beautifully it handled on her maiden voyage.

I am realizing I enjoy the engineering and design of the build as much as actually putting it together. You know, stewing on how to solve a little pesky step and then while walking the dog or washing the dishes it comes to you and you almost have to stop what you are doing at that moment and go back to the shop to see if it works the way you thought. that's how the rudder solved itself!

AAANNNNNNDDDDD I am finishing my dissertation. (little breaks add up to progress, eh?) Oh, yeah and the ponds will be solid in 2 months... so now or next year.

Woman is pulling my hair dragging me out for a dog walking at the moment.

Motors are here, but cooling jackets are loose, so a pair of shiny Kintec Racing ones are on the way (need the nipples to be aligned not offset...).

now waiting on motor mount - in the mail - and my pair of X442 props from the Egineger
