    I hope it don't smoke!

Zicha mount came in today - custom made to my drawing specs - PERFECTLY!!!

So... needless to say I have UPdates:

motor mount installed, two motors, two ESCs attached via Y harness
    CF servo mount
    water cooling
AND bench test... they both turn (even the opposite ways).

Now alls I have to do is wait now for a break in the action and hope Egneg's pair of b/s X442s shows up in time. I am hoping this update will encourage him to warm up his files..

Twins in a Mono, very cool!
makes me wonder how big a hull I could play with, having twin 1717's in it?

well you will probably have your props 50mm apart (using two 47mm props) and then need to ask Peter to whip up a mount for 5" rails (less than $50 I suspect) and then I think main thing is that the vee isn't too extreme. I would think something 4 feet or less.. but who knows until you try!

ya, my dream the aeromarine Outerlimits xXx or Challenger 48 - another one I drool over often. I am sure if you told Remy I sent you to him, he would give you a discount!

looks good, i think you may be pushing your luck with 3600mah per motor. seems kinda low for "L" cans. i used to run a 8l on 30c 5000's and it sucked everything they had on a x437-3

those were still sittin in there from the bench test. I will go 5000 or even 7200 mah per motor, thanks for the comment. Although, running twins each will be drawing significantly less than normal, and these will be spinning 42mm props, so they probably would work for a minute or two.

roger that.... i think 5000 would be plenty and you are right about the amp draw..

those guys in the OSE store must work round the clock. I put in an order for some props yesterday evening and got my email saying it was sent this morning???

gonna try 40mm and 45mm until my X442 pair from Egneg. We might get a weekend maiden voyage after all!

ahhhh the sound of twins. Took her out for maiden voyage and she performed perfectly. Didn't even have to bring her back in to adjust strut or trim tabs - nuttin. pair of K40s on 3S each motor and she was in the mid 40s very nicely riding - pretty dry and with a big toothy grin. I tried to get a crony out to film but nobody was able. Beautiful evening, mirror water and the dual whine of "El Forte". Egneg's pair of 442s should be here tomorrow and will get a filmer out to provide something more than just proud papa babble.

I totally agree!!! I just interviewed with Noble (oil/gas company) in Denver that would be a little closer than Houston!!!

did you want to sell that cat? I got a buddy that might be interested.

hold on....... "she was in the mid 40s very nicely riding - pretty dry and with a big toothy grin" that just doesnt sound right. should be something like "she was in the mid 40s very nicely riding - not a drop of water inside and with a big toothy grin"

good job... get some video, i'm all about a twin mono if it is working well.....

I think he means the hull was running nice and loose.
