ok flex cable cut to length, motor mount glued in place, soldered additional wiring to speedo for paralleling batts

getting close, need to get batt straps in, secure the esc, make an easy to remove receiver mount ( for my e-maxx) to share, some pool noodle for flotation and better secure batts

i dont know if anyone else does this but along with gluing stuff in place i have been drilling holes as well to kind of make it part of the hull rather glue on top of the fiber glass, i f i could i would through bolt alot of parts but that start to look ugly, with the boats getting faster and more horse power i dont want anything to go any where

could be right i think fine design sells them for $320, there are not cheap buy any means but the quality is great, i was lucky enough to get this hull brand new with only cosmetic damage from shipping through a guy at an fe boat club for $160

been a month since i posted anything boat is fully functional, but has not sen any water unless you count the beer i spilled on it (jk). i will be going to the hobby shop tomorrow to get some tubing and hopefully find a nice inlet to mount through the hull for water cooling

                  will have video this weekend

got a chance to run the boat smallest prop i have is a x642 so thats what i used, it ran in the mid 30's i do have a gps but forgot it tomorrow i will use it. i did not seem to run wet this being my first cat for sure it was not plowing, i was happy with how it ran it was short batteries may not have been charged like i though they are older 4s batts not expecting to break records with them. the boat did not have a drop of water in it, the flex cable was a bit loud cause i'm not using linear it i have to get used to it

over all happy with this boat i need some good lipos and a motor jacket though, i have a x645 prop maybe i will try as well

crap its been along time since i posted on this boat is running great, i have been running it on 4s for mid 40's but threw in a pair of 5s zippys and used a m445 and gps'd at 52.5 mph which i was very happy with motor was 104, batts 120, esc 126 i am sure there is a little more room to go faster but runtime was great and it handled very well what more could you ask for- i checked the temps and was going to get some video but the lvc kicked in and that was that .

changed the prop to a m545 5s with a 58.8mph pass still with some good runtime and temps not much higher than previous post, and the last pass went air born and broke the servo mount loose east fix

this boat is fun best boat in my fleet it eats up the choppy water corners nice and handle the wind, move the batteries back for some ragged edge saw passes or move them foward to handle the surf. the castle 1518 is a stellar motor i have great run times with 4s and 5s packs no heat issues anywhere- still havent been able to make that 60mph mark yet but maybe i will leave it be
