The stingers/struts are on the inside to provide better turning performance. For the paint/graphics, do something that looks like paper tearing back as the boat moves forward, I looked on google, but couldn't find any pictures.

What do you think, flames or no flames?
Looks like a spaceship from star trek looking cool!

I really haven't been able to purusue this quite the way I thought I would have. It was more than difficult for my hands to work in the sponsons, so I became a little frustrated with the hull and shelved it for a while. Well, it just struck me, that the new 1717 prototype mount will fit and I can run it with a 1717.

So this may end up a single Hydra 240 w/1717 on 6s2p.
Hydra 240 just came in the mail this week.

Time to get me some sprint cat action!

So, what do I have to do to get a clear coat on this gel coat? This is a much harder, smoother finish than my other hulls. I just want to clear the decals on and leave it white I think.

Thinking about using the nice sample production 1717 mount. It's not quite at the right angle, so may use a prototype mount that's has a little more adjustment. Will modify this before production so it flips and works in the cats as well as the V-hulls.

Why clear the decals ? not needed in fact its a mistake because you can never change them and if you end up scrathing them or the boat gets damaged you will have it all the sand off.In my opinion painting boats and clearing is a waste of time for that reason.A friend had two of the hulls he got off me painted and cleared and both were chipped and damaged within a week.Stick to gelcoat and un cleared decals in my opinion.

Sounds good to me! Saves a bunch of time.
