Turbochopper 30

Well guys, I thought I'd share with you my latest mono: Turbochopper 30.
The source is purely Chinese, a small company making just this boat, originally for IC motors.

It came quite ok, nice finish, thick gelcoat (found out after a nose crash). The FG is just stranded mat, quite ugly, but it got the kevlar treatment and is now stiffer and looks slightly better.
Power is now a Leopard 4074 on 4S 5200 30C, Turnigy 180 ESC and an X442. This setup gave me just enough juice for a 6min race (that I won ), actually 6min 30seconds. I also tested it with 2 x 2S 5400 20C Etti and I got about 7minutes out of it.
Stinger, motor support and motor jacket are all home made, rudder is a HOTR cat type, with a water pickup that actually works!

I also installed a floodchamber, about 2.3 liters, which will now turn the boat in about 5 seconds (courtesy also of 120g of lead).

I'm intrigued, where are you? You mention recent nationals which makes me think of the America but also mention 6 minute race which makes me think of anywhere else, could it be that you are trialing mono2 in the states, I know NAMBA is a Naviga affiliated club so it sounds reasonable, though I would have though mono1 would be a better bet coming in significantly cheaper than N1 mono or even Pspec mono.

we live in romania and here there are no mono race, oficial ,we try to make the staff here in romania to put some mono class in oficial
and by the way we dont have any legitim club here with speed electric mono, hidro

Iony is right, we just managed to push a demo race at the FSR Nationals this weekend, hoping we can get it official for next season. First step will be Mono 1 and 2, followed by Hydro 1 and 2. Most of the officials in the federation are... over a certain age and reluctant to changes, but there are plenty of Mono races in Europe, so there is nothing they can argue. This is why I prepared these two boats: Turbochopper for the Mono2 (actually more like Mono 3, but that was removed by Naviga) and the H&M Intruder for the Hydro 2... both on 4S, standard Lipos with weight under 140g/cell, etc...

Wow that was absolute chaos but a lot of fun I bet, I wish you all the best getting some FE racing sorted in romania, I'm sure it will become a little more sane in no time with a bit of practice, we had a fair few mono3 racers here in the UK and when naviga killed mono3 we stuck our fingers up and created supermono a national class for 8s baby, great fun!

I love the look of the intruder, that's one beautifull boat.

do you like this turbochoper hull/ they are cheap and i am looking for a boat to run our "40" class. we are making boats that can not exceed 40mph, each boat will have a gps and be checked at the end of the race. i have several big fast boats but i was thinking a 30" would be good because i wouldnt have to deal with the rough water flips.

The hull is the most stable I have. It really takes a lot take it out of the track... on a normal oval, full throttle is not a problem. As it is now, with an X442, I got 75kph avrage with max of 82kph (46 to 52mph). I guess that with a smaller motor or an X440 you can get to what you need.
