Finally got my hull on wednesday. I got right to work on her! My setup, Leopard 2200kv, Turnigy 180, and 4s2p. Paint is white, and Key Lime. Modded speedmaster rudder, and bracket. Speedmaster strut. Home made turn fin bracket with Aquacraft fin (sharpened). Tried to make her as clean looking inside as I could. All I have left to do is to stuff her with pool noodle, and wait till my new cells get here. I may give her a go with 4s1p if they don't come tomorrow. I had a few pinholes to fill. They showed up after prime. Mostly on the seam where it's joined. No biggie at all. The hull seems very well built. Light, yet strong. There is wood support built into the transom, and the floor, where the stuffing tube goes through. The turn fin area is backed with an aluminum plate that you drill and tap. Works very well. Can't wait to let her rip!!

Still gotta paint the windshield. More pics: -
Yeah, she's straight. Must be the angle of the shot. I'll prob. start with an x442 on prop, and go from there. I'm sure she'll be plenty fast though. BTW, the motor mount In this boat, intended for the Leopard motor sucks. I had to drill new holes in the CF brackets. The spacing between the face mount and ring are Too far apart andthe rear ring hits on the plastic where the wires come out. Plus the I.D. of the ring is too big. I had to remove material from the insde of the clasp in back just to get it to close tight on the motor.Comment

Had a feeling that mount might be trouble. I'm trying to decide on a new mount for my FE30. I had a nice one but my nephew decided he wanted it apparently and it's gone missing. I think you can go with a more aggressive prop but that's easy enough. Hope it runs good!Comment

Hey Rumdog looks great. Man that was fast, I've had mine since early July and the clear coat just went on today. Hope to get it reassembled this weekend. I have the Aquacraft turnfin also and I made the one in the plans to try on it too. Where is your COG and where are you going to place the batteries? Your running the exact same setup I've got. Good luck and get some video.

It's too bad everyone on the forums are spread across the world. We could have some nice FE boat racing and fun! I'm excited to see you guys get those boats on the water! In the 5th pic posted you can see how much the sponson is vented similar to my FE30 mines 1.25 inches there.Comment

I was thinking the same thing today. Around here there are 5 of us running FE boats on a somewhat regular basis. I wish we could get more or hook up with other groups of guys or some of you guys. I love to run but I enjoy seeing and watching other peoples setups run just as much.

OK. Maiden run = bad. Silicone water jacket leaks like a siv. Pumped tons of water into the boat, and soaked the RX. Started glitching and had to bring it in. Seems to run good though. Went with a prather 220. It can def. use more prop. I set the strut 5/8" below the hull, and I think it needs lowering a bit. I'll try 3/4" next run out. It looked to be riding sponson high is all. No prop walk to speak of. Turned well in 3-4" chop even. Gonna swap over to a cooling coil. It's all I have on hand. Also***** The faceplate of the Leopard motors are super soft aluminum.*** Very easy to strip out the threads!Comment

I see Steven has both the short and long aluminum water jackets back in stock. Mine has the same silicone one yours does. Looks like I'll order a new one in the morning. How did the Aquacraft fin work? Also where is your COG ? The plans called for 15-16 inches from the transom. Hope to run mine later on this week.
