    My INSANE FE30

Well guys, it is gonna be a while before I get to building this one, but I wanted to go ahead and get some pics up of the hull JEff did for me, because a few people asked to see it. I've got a cyberstorm to get built first, so this will come later. Anyway, here are the shots. The motor resting in its future home is a neu 1521 placed in for size comparison. The CF was laid into the entire hull bottom before it was joined. The nose and sponsons are all covered. Great stuff Jeff, thanks again! Also have the insane hardware kit for it, just not pictured.

Looks great! I just layed a carbon floor in mine this afternoon. Kinda worried about the carbon with my 2.4ghz radio though since it acts up sometimes in my other boats.

Thanks bud. Let me know how yours does with the cf laid in. I was considering building a small mount to have short antennae under the tall part of the hatch. Plenty time to think about that while I get the storm going though.

Why are you guys laying carbon fiber down? Is the hull going to break? Is it for looks?

Mine was more for appearance. The hull feels super solid, and I'm sure it would be fine without it.

I decided to relocate some things in my hull and once I removed the motor mount that was installed before I noticed some flex around that area and decided I could stiffen it up a bit. Mines a pre production hull though so it might not be the same as everyone else's? Either way it's fairly minor and probably won't make too much of a difference, if that's the case at least it looks good!

John, the carbon looks great in there! I like the red too. Did the sticker sheet cost any extra?

I found the floor on mine was too flexible to just glue a motor mount to (IMHO). So I used carbon rails. A layer of carbon would do the trick nicely.

Thanks Buddy. The stickers came with the hull / hw combo. Don't remember any cost getting added for them. Once I saw MarkF's Red top / black bottom color combo, I knew I had to go with that! haha
