    Carbon Fiber cloth

    What do you use to lay down carbon fiber cloth? Z-Proxy?
    32" Toysport Triton, stepped hull, no flood chamber, 1515 1.5y NEU 1500kv motor, 180a Turnigy SC - running 6S, Aquacraft SV27 - currently running UL1 motor on 4S. Boat has seen 59mph running Feigao 11XL on 6S, 17" Velocity Minicat

    I used Zpoxy. Seems very stiff and strong without breaking.

      zpoxy is great... haven t used it for CF tho'... i m sure it works out good... any thoughts as to using fiberglass resin to lay CF... i remember reading somewhere that using epoxy is better since fiberglass can tend to yellow... anyone laid up CF using resin ??

        I've used f-glass resin with the carbon a few times. Does not really show since the carbon is so dark.
        FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!

          nice... didn t thing about the color... ... i m looking to buy some CF cloth at the moment... can anyone recommend good sellers ?? i ve looked on ebay and they all either seem to have smallish pieces or a yard +... so far my best find has been kintec with a 16 * 24" piece for $19... i think it s a 5.7 oz weight... any suggestions as to a weight to buy... i want to lay up a single layer in my df29...
