    i have never had a problem soft soldering stub shafts & flexes together,
    and never had one break,
    the secret is in the flux, if you use couple of drops of phosphoric acid
    in the stub to tin it, and tin the end of the flex,
    and use plain solder, not resin core,
    you wont have a problem..

      Use welding or purchase a welded cable. That's all my suggestion after lost 3 set of propeller+shaft. They all took me nights to sharpen and balance!

        Lots of good stuff here Sleeve retainer is the easiest though unless you are in a hurry and gotta have it now!! as I am building and fitting everything up I glue mine and set them aside for later, (Now where did I put that stupid thing I know its around here some where KIDS!!! have you been in MY ROOM?)
