    Joysway invicible razor 1000series

    I recently sold my blackjack 26 because i wanted a deep v.

I got a great price on a Joysway invicible Razor 1005mm deep v electric: http://www.joysway-hobby.com/product.asp

The boat had a 580 size 45mm brushless motor and a 90amp watercooled esc, the engine ran pretty hot the stock setup was 22.2volts i ran it at only 5 s 18,5volts because of the heat in engine and speedcontrol. But when i tried 22.2volts 6 cell it fried the esc and i guess the motor too becuase it has become black inside the wirings.

So the stock china engine in this boat must be bad. I GPS ed it to 68kph before the engine and speedcontrol died.

Anyway i had a feigao 540xl engine laying around, it is a 14xl with 1260kv.

The boat has a 42mm 2 blade steel prop stock. It has 5mm flex so i put the feigao in the hull. It fitted almost i had too do a little mod too the motor mount because the 540size engine had smaller diameter between the screw holes.

I thought the boat might was a little big for this engine but now i run it on 6cell lipo 22.2volts and i use a 70amp watercooled esc, it all stays very cold! the wires, esc, deans, motor, batteries all stays cold. i guess this is because of a better engine with less resistanse etc.

The boat now does about 65kph and it really rips. At full speed almost nothing touches the water except the prop of couse.

The handling of the boat is great it takes corners at full speed =)

    i use Rhino 4000mah 25c 3s lipos in series.

How many amps do you guys think this setup draws?

The boat weighs only about 2kg.

I wouldnt recommend this boat because of the crappy stock engine.

But i got it cheap :)

Anyone else own this boat? speeds ? etc?

If i put in a feigao 13xl 1339kv or a 12xl 1445kv how many amps more will it draw? i guess on 6s the speed will be faster..

Maybe a feigao 580l? Any opinions? Or maybe i only should stick with the 1260kv feigao xl and use another prop? prop suggestions?
Will this engine handle a bigger prop?

this is what fe calc says, not super accurate but give you a idea.
    your 42mm prop
    14xl amps 54 speed 40 mph
    12xl amps 80 speed 45 mph

    with x642 prop
    14xl amps 69 speed 44.5 mph
    12xl amps 100 speed 50 mph

this doesnt take in to count weight/size of boat or setup

      props

      so i can get 45mph with a octura x642?

Why is this faster and draw more amps? has it got more pitch? i know it is 2 blade cause i had it on my catamaran. its 1.6 pitch and 42mm 2 blade i reckon.

would a 44mm 2 blade prop be too much?

I hear that if i want a 3 blade prop i have too go down 2mm in diameter too get the same thrust as the 2 blade prop, this is when pitch is the same..

If i got a 3 blade that is same diameter 42mm will this be too much?

I have no idea whats the standard pitch though..

What props are you guys running on your 14xl engines?

okay my bad i thought your prop was 1.4 pitch
i think going to a 3 blade you need to drop 20% not 100% sure
        x445 prop
        71 amps 41.5mph
        x645
        89 amps 46mph
        x440/3
        52 amps 38 mph
        447/3
        89 amps 41 mph

like i say this is just fe calcs # a lot depends on setup, boat weight etc
