I will get pics up this evening guys. First thing I did was to put her on the scale. Hull & HW only tiped it @ 4.5 pounds. I brought out the fully outfitted jolly...4.5. So I will open the floor to motor size, wind and power suggestions right off the bat. I bet she will closr to 7 or 8lbs completed. I would rather stay away from KBs to cut down on weight & replacing motor mounts. Hex'es of course due to the costs. I am over all pleased with it out of the box. I am also debating a set of inline ruddders to try and stablize it some.
Balsa Cat setup.

Ok well I need an opinion on somthing. Is a 3.5 inch rudder a little short for a 36x11.5 inch twin drive cat? I think that may lead to some unstability. I am going to take my time on this boat. I plan a complete repaint and clear coat. You can see the size diffrence in the B-Cat to the Jolly & the scat just looks silly compaired...lol.

Yeah Alan I am pleased with her so far. I am going with a deeper rudder or rudders to try and take care the handeling issue you described @ 40+. That unit you where using seemed a little short for a big over powerd cat. I am taking it down to the wood repriming and painting it also. The current finish is fine to be honest but I need to make it mine. It is going to be quite some time before it hits the water. It is project #2 right now. I have a 21 Scat cat recovery boat to build. After thats done I will begin buying motors and begin modifieing a set of Hexes. Nice job on the to water pick up's by the way. Now I only need 2 more for the esc's. I am pretty sure I will be able to get it running where I want. I will keep you posted.Comment

Stevo it has trim tabs to act kinda like "wheelie bars" . It was an attempt to make it so i can run really loose without blowing over. It worked but not enough for twin 8xl's. SJFE If you look on the inside of the hull you will see whats directly above them. Your in for some work if thats what you decide to do. Personally the sv drives worked fine and they are bored over and reignforced with brass tubing. I bored them big enough to run octura led teflons.Comment
