got it wet and disaster to be fair, didnt even do a run and the motor gave out,but this is the motor that was run previously on the f1 24" and when it flipped the motor was submerged, dried it out and tested before i went,it did sound a little rough,so shouldnt of bothered really should of just brought a new motor.
Right here we go iv just spent a short whil modifying the outboard,i robbed the cooling plate from an old burned out ESC drilled some holes and came up with this, not sure if this motor is up to it, and gonna run it on 6s,2p but will give it go LOL.
Just made a little plastic disc to sit on top of the motor to reduce water going in.
Also was having problems getting a ny prop bigger than 40mm on,but made a couple of mods and can just sqeese 1 on with out it hitting anything.
will give it a run tomorrow and see how i get on and try and get some vids.
this set up should be ok,but will know more once i take it and try it,if not iv got a scorpion HK3026,1900kv icould try but means getting a couple of new batts, either 4s or 5s,and run a 42mm 3blade prop
Just got back from maiden run and all i can say is what a laugh, didnt expect that motor to go as it did, very very windy caused some problems, and need to make a couple of adjustments, was gonna do there but time is clocking on so just ran to get some vids
will be better once iv made some adjustments, but was surprised how the motor pulled was spinning a 38mm prop was having some cavition once iv played with it abit more will try a 40mm
one question dos motor get water over spray in it ??? or can you make a cover 4 it just curious daz........ nice set up love the boat
Cheers papa
didnt get wet at all even when it flipped LOL,but i did place a disc on top,i have got a cowl to go round it but wanted to keep it open for extra cooling
