That looks like a nice cat, I have to get around to making an F1 boat some day. Have you molded your canopy and outboard or do you carve them from balsa/foam?

Normally make a framework and carve it from balsa, like this 1 (34"F1)

Admirable, canopies are my least favorite part of building boats which is all that puts me off building an F1 cat as the canopy is so big, I tend to stick to offshore looking jobbies but I really should do F1s for both the self-righting ability and the scale looks, my cats are similarly proportioned to an F1 cat for good turning in oval racing but have bugger-all room inside them and look a little strange with there little bubble canopies.

What part of sunny England do you live in? I've been trying to figure out ST for a while with no luck, I'm in Horsham, West Sussex.

                        here you go boys
4" x 3" balsa that i use to make nose and top half of canopy:

Bottom half of canopy built and glued, and test fitted.

nose on and started to shape it

Your workmanship is great. But the ride pad runs flat way way to far forward. It will run fine going straight. Just don't turn!

1 of the rear closure panel, with brass tubes inserted, the three at the top are for the motor wires 4mm id so can plug them straight in,and use plugs on the ESC on the oposite side/inside of hull.
The 2 outer 1s are for the steering cables and the 2 centre 1s are for cooling pipes in/out for the ESC.
