Ben you do realize that its just one faceplate , you will have to make the plywood stringer sides to mount this

Yep. I ordered the 3/16" wire drive and 8mm - 078 wire coupler from Jeff.

I'm not sure how I want to make the stringers, so draggin my feet a little. I think I'll make them from aluminum and use fiberglass resin to hold them in instead of epoxy.

Now, just getting the garage time and bench space to do some metal fabrication. It's over 100 here today. I'm going back out to the pool now and maybe off to the beach as it cools of this afternoon. Saturday beach bikinis. Life is good.

I hear ya on the stringers.Got my mount from Pete then realized I can put 4" stringers in my hull.Stupidity on my part for not measuring my hull before ordering the mount.Thinking about 3 1/2" stringers and bending the aluminum to go to 4" around the motor.Gonna think a few more days before fabbing them though.Im using .187 flex cable on mine.Figure it ll make more than enough power with a smaller hull that I prob wont realize the diff with wire drive.Good luck with yours-looking forward to seeing that bad boy run.Oh,I also water cooled my Monster.Dont know if you did yours yet,but Ill post a pic if you want to see it for an idea.
