    Rumdog's DF 39 "knockoff"

Bought the hull/hw on RRR. It came in today, in excellent condition. Need tp clean up some tape/sticker goo though. It has some really robust hardware. When I got home, I installed my 2215 1.5y and rail mount. I'll be running 9s2p with the Swordfish 240hv and 30c 5000mah Turnigy packs. I'll probably start with either a x452 or 455 on props. This is my biggest mono yet, and I really think this ones gonna fly! I'll prob end up doing some high speed rips on 10s1p just to see what she can handle, but not till it's really dialed in. Just waiting on a few goodies from OSE (like shrinkwrap) and my CF cooling can and she'll be ready to maiden. Trying to think of some graphics or paint highlights to add. Suggestions welcome!

I am just interested to see what kind of speed you will attain with that 2215. Should be a rocket.
BTW the strut and rudder looks like RCMK product?

I'm interested too. Almost went with a 1527, but I got a good deal on the 2215. Should move her real nice! I wonder how big I'll be able to go with propping before I get propwalk issues. I THINK the hw is RCMK. Not positive.

Pretty positive the h/w is RCMK/Toughracing. Do you have props for this badboy yet??

So far I've got a x452,x455 and x457. That should get me started for now. Still need to work the x457 though.

I'm considering making a run without the cooling can to see how it goes. The motor does have a small fan built in. Just curious as to how well it will work.

Awesome!! That motor makes the rails look like 3" spacing! Can't wait to see some video.

Nah, It's actually a hydro style strut, but flipped around it works just as well on a mono. This way, I have a gap between the strut and the transom to allow for small strut adjustments.

Can't believe I didn't think of the HOOTERS theme. Sounds good to me!

You don't want the taper on the strut toward the water flow? Or does it not fit?

It doesn't matter since the strut is directly behind the transom. Just imagine it as a stinger. The nose being longer, when It's spun around like it is helps to get the prop out to the correct distance from the transom.

Gotcha. I figured it was close, but I couldn't tell from the pics.

Love the pool shot! Curious though....How many times have you hit the pool side from testing holeshots?

How is that hatch for taping down? It looks like it might be a bit of a challenge at the rear of the hatch.

Hehehe. I have done that with other boats, not this one yet. As far as taping the hatch... I've never liked the way that DF or copy hulls hatches fit. The pop off easily if flexed. They're just too snug. I'm going to put either cowl locks or screws in back corners to lock her down with a dowel pin up front. That way the tape is just a seal and it isn't fighting to hold down the hatch.
