    New build cat:

    well my 5yr son wants a boat and likes the offshore cats,so thought id have ago at building him 1
    Iv designed this from pics of others and managed to work out some measurements and this is what iv come up so far:
    24" L x 8 1/2" W

      Any scratch build is always impressive. I like the lines on yours. I'll be following this thread with interest!!!

        cheers bud,im just doing the lower side of the sponsons,just gotta sand of the excess.
        I do try to design boats that are slightly different in appearance/lines,but still give the performance and handling aspects.

                            Any updates on this build? As a side note, I bet you could slip a larger diameter tube over these water outlet and make the inner tube hide within the outer by about 1/4 - 1/2" deep so you don't see it. Then as the water exits the outer tube it may get fairly entrained with air and make it look like hot steam (or scale exhaust). I am curious to see how this turns out and am also following your F1 28" thread. They both look beautiful.

                              Alrite bud,just gotta sort hardware for it,hopefully in the next couple of wks it be far away,from being finished,just want to get f1 done as iv got everything to complete,and get my 37"mono running better.
