He can achieve his speed goals, but may fall a bit short on run time - or vice versa. But he'll have fun trying and he may make it! Isn't that what's important - fun?

      .
Twin motors can give more speed and lower the amps "ON EACH MOTOR". But the overall amp draw will be higher.

Ideally, you want to go as fast as you can on one motor. Add the second motor when you top that out. That is ideally and generally doesn't enter our calculations because we want twins for a reason. I am building a scale boat and going twins because the full size one has twins.

double horsepower does not double speed. doubling drives does not double speed. Saw the numbers on it one time graphed out, it is an exponential curve. Double your HP, get about a 50% increase in speed. Same with doubling your drives I think.

Go big single, I think that is your best bet at getting to your goal.

Its not a spint cat it a hotr 41 inch cat made for gas. Sprint cats are aeromarine big difference in boating experience as far as manufacturers go. Dont know how this boat got to be a 41 inch sprint cat when its a 41 inch hotr cat. Not directed toward you rearwheeling just setting the record straight. You can buy that hull for 145.00 dollars see if you can get an aeromarine cat like rums for 145 dollars it wont happen cuz.I like this boat but stop sticking a made boat companys name on a boat when thats not what it is. Its a chinese 145.00 hotr cat not an aeromarine sprintcat and it never will be.I dont think anyone has even had one of theese to say how it will handle speed but i doubt it cause it has a wide azz tunnel it will flip ealier than say a hpr they are narrower. If you want a saw boat better go with hpr or a custom cat designed for speed with a narrow tunnel.

I didn't completly research the entier Aeromarine Sprintcat line and for some reason I thought they had a larger sprintcat model, my bad. The hatch isn't as scale as a aeromarine.

Ok here are some setups for 41" cats (that I remember) there might be more, the safest way is to follow a tested setup or to be close

                      1527 1.5Y, 10s, turnigy sentilon 100A 12s
                      2230 1Y, 10s, schulze 40.160, 10s

                      http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ead.php?t=7762

I don't know how well a single littlescreamer will perform, better than a 1527?
