    JAGERMEISTER Mean Machine

After much research and input from the OSE forum I have finished a MM build.
    Its the JAGERMEISTER MM !!!!!!!

Runs with a CC 240 Hydra lv
    Castle Neu 1518
    Speedmaster Hardware
    M545 M645 Octura props
    Futaba 2.4
    Turnigy 5s 5000 mAh lipos
    Garmin Geko GPS

Some things that are cool are using the strut mount as the antenna mount, made brackets for the motor mount and drilled holes in them so the JB weld would squish up and make bolt heads. Also wet sanded hull bottom with 1200 grit sandpaper, its super slick.

I have not run it yet , still need to prep the props, it should hit the water this weekend. I have spent about three months on this , on and off.

I'll keep you guys posted on how it runs.

Forgot to mention the new hatch with UL-1 fins, they look great on the new hatch.

One drawback from the new hatch is a big motor has to be mount a little further back , but its not a big deal, I happen to like the short drive line.

sweet mean machine! That motor rocks on 5s2p! I ran it in a few different monos And it is a real powerhouse. The mean machine should really fly!

Thanks Rumdog, hope to run it this weekend, I have not run a FE since my Matrix sank to the bottom of the lake back in November. One great thing about the MM is

Flotation, Flotation, Flotation , Flotation, Flotation......................................... ...........

          Very clean....great job!

One thing to keep in mind, you don't want the bottom of the hull SLICk, actually just the opposite. I remember about 15 years ago my bud used to make 44" Cat hulls for gas engines. He would take a brand new, perfect hull out of the mold with a perfect gelcoat finish and sand the bottom of the hull in different directions until it looked dull and nasty. I couldn't believe my eyes but he explained that a slick hull creates a suction to the water slowing it down while a dull saned bottom breaks the surface tension of the water and makes the hull faster. At first I thought he was smoking something but I later found out that it was common for a lot of racers to do this.

Looks great, one thing I noticed is the prop looks raw, hope you are not going to run unbalanced??

Ran the Jager MM last night for the first time, its was a blast to see it run, it did very well , I waited for the GPS to lock in but it just took to long and I sent it in the water. After a few laps the plywood base for the rudder servo popped off the carbonfiber, it was 5 minute epoxy all the JB weld worked well so last night I cleaned the area and glued the rudder servo with JB weld. One other small thing , there was some grease coming out of the shrink wrap around the strut and brass dirve line, it needs some super glue to seal it up.

Going to run it sunday morning with the GPS.

I had to replace that exact same GPS as I could not get it to connect with the satalites anymore. I'll be interest to see what yours runs against my Neu 1515 1Y and 4S2P.

                      Nice build, good luck!

Very nice job, excellent! You might want to move the batteries aft 1-2". depends how the boat runs

very nice. i like the wings. original look. i also have probs with my garmin geko locking onto sats. i tried velcro and taping to the outside of hull and even though they are waterproof they absolutely do not float. lol. my mm only misbehaved one time and now my gps is at bottom of the lake. still debating on diving for it. it never worked well for me. i think i am gonna try a different gps that works inside hull. i never got signal inside hull. your boat looks great my friend!!!
