    Rudder offset vs. stinger length?

My speedmaster stinger is 82.5mm long, and the rudderoffset is 85 mm from transom to leading edge of rudder, thus placing the center of the prop about center of the rudder blade? I can't seem to find the info on this topic right now (saw it before someplace....?) How should the prop line up with the rudder on a mono. (my titan 33) And I figured I'd have this boat built by now....

Trailing edge of the prop dog in line with the leading edge of the rudder......works well for me(and others too).

Ok, so I need a longer rudder then eh? Or I was thinking I could make a break-a-way type hinge mount that would move the rudder back???
Or should I just get a different rudder? Mine is from OSE. Its the ose-80050 I think. 130mm tall and 85mm offset to leading edge.

I think you'll be ok like that, give it a try. I have tried different setups with small spacers on the transom, and when we are talking 5mm plus or minus, there is no real influence... as long as the rudder blade is not completely in front or behind the prop. The most stable result was as you describe, rudder aligned with center of prop.

Ok cool. I'll just try it then. That's also good since the longer one is $54. I'm already up to about $1000 on this boat. Eeeesh
