Thanks for the reply Jay, 3/16 it is!!

Just off to the engineering shop to see if I can find some alloy thick enough to put a water jacket in, but will still leave me plenty of shaft lenght.

Still looks tiny in that hull. Amazing the power they put out.

the hull sure does dwarf the motor.

Couldn't find the right alloy yesterday, so no engine mount as of yet.

Nice to see another OR powered cat in town. I am sure yours will be be a fair bit qucker than mine though.

I can't get down for the champs this weekend as I am on duty, still keen to get there one day.

                Bring on the Cats.

All Good Simon, we aren't going anywhere.

I got the day off tomorrow so am going to test my Whiplash, N2 Shovel and Gas Class 1, also setting up the bouys for the course at about 2pm.

Once club champs are done with then I can get back into building this cat

Made the engine mount tonight, 30X10mm alloy, fitted the motor to it with 4mm stainless cap screws , have pilot drilled it vertically for water cooling and also recessed the coupler into the mount, Just drilling the rails for the mount and drilling and tapping of the mount to go and then its onto glassing the rails in.

                          Cheers Dude,

Just a couple more pics of the mount in the rails sitting roughly where it will live in the boat, got a visitor last night so didn't get as much as I planned done.

Motor mount now attached to the rails, just need to make a couple of things and then they can be epoxied in.

Hokay, the Epoxy dried... and RAN over night, oh well, it rails are SOLID, and the engine mount has zero flex.

I left the boat in my server room overnight for the paint to harden and its turned out ok, truth be known i was sick to death of sanding and just wanted to paint the sucker so its got a few imperfections..

Not really a lot to go now, just gotta order my strut, make a mount and install the steering servo, 440 rod and boot, battery mounts, make a cowl, water lines..
