Anyone know where to get some cheap sponsons or pontoons?

I wana add some on to my widowmaker to turn it into the rescue barge. Otherwise i'd have to rescue the rescue boat all the time. Kinda funny even thinking about useing a boat that always NEEDS rescueing as a resue boat , but with some pontoons or sponsons, it should work at slowspeed. not quite sure how I'll attach them, but that shouldn't be too hard. Wanted to make them fairly easily removeable so i can still run this little guy in ponds ect..

Theres a bunch of clever guys who have added PVC tubing to the exterior of their smaller boats. Building small frames. Put some pool noodle on the outside and you can come up with a darn good rescue boat. Then theres always aircraft floats should you happen to want that build method. The sky's the limit or should I say the imagination is.

Cool, thanks. I had seen a couple of those with the pvc. I suppose a pvc tube could be pretty boyant, and especially if they are wrapped with pool noodles. I work at a bike shop and the foam that comes on the bike frames seems very similar to pool noodles. Maybe I'll just try those. What are the aircraft floats?

Foam is pretty easy to work with. Cheapo 550 brushed motor and an old AM radio.

This is where a steerable outdrive would be good so you can cut her sharp.
