GPS did not record
The GPS Signal can not go through the carbon fibre and putting them down in beside your lipos it would also have a hard time getting a signal throuth them. duct tape the GPS to the in side of your lid if you have the room or on top of your lipo's hope this helps

Thanks for the tip Oldguy. I know that CF traps signal and can hinder RX signal as well. I had it stuck on the velcro strap that hold the batt. but I musta not got a good bond becauase it fell down into teh sponson. It worked there a few days before but was hit and miss. I thought about sticking it up in the canopy... Just wanted to try and keep it as low as possible... oh well, next run will be in the canopy.

Update

Ran the boat this am... couple minor stinger adjustments... Glued in a strap system under the drivers canopy of the hatch to secure the GPS... ran by myself, so couldnt get a vid. Also ran it w/ my Eagle tree. First time I got to use that piece of equip.. fricken awesome tool!

If Im spiking for tenths of a second at 180A on the 120A esc (see pdf above), and the esc has a 240A burst current... does that mean Im w/ in the parameters of the ESC and things are fine? It comes in w/ an ESC temp of less than 115F usually around 105F.

Ha, Im trying not to Jerry. I have a feeling I cannot rely on my data b/c the logger was reading both ESCs and Motors simultaneously... Not sure if that doubles numbers or throws data all outta whack? And the reason I think that, although not pin point accurate, FeCalc says I should be pulling about 118A in a single drive. The word on the street is, twins pull significantly less power since each motor and esc are now sharing the work. I was figuring Id be pulling, because of what I had been told and read, somewhere under 100 and above maybe 80A. But Im spiking 180... OR is it actually 90A? I just dont know.. I guess I have to get 6S seperate packs and run it like that to get real data.

I no nothing about FE but your data show 8 amps and 180amps there is no way you went in the 60s on 8 amps lol so I would say 180 is what you are pulling on 2 motors that's 90 amps per ESC thats 30 more amps you got. so cup those props and hit the 70s lol but I could be wrong lol Email the data loger people and ask

Thats what Im starting to think and if its correct I feel stupid for getting myself all worked up and confused. Im thinking its 90A per side as well.... Thats where I was thinking it should be. Good thought on emailing Eagle Tree.

Scott you no i dont no all that but if the logger is in line with both sets reading as one then it would make sense that you would devide the total in two but dont listen to me im a mechanical person not electrical person, hay can you put the logger in line with only one side to read only one setup, get the readings then just times two,,i dont no,,,

The way its set up it will always see both.

Yep the logger sees it as a whole. I would be more concerned about the batteries. When their new they can take some abuse. Running them at their capacity limits really shortens the life span. I have puffed a bunch doing so. Even though their fairly inexpensive just something to watch for. On a side note. I did try to run my boat on some old 3s 5000 25c in parallel and they couldn't handle the load. I kept hitting the cutoff and at one point only one motor seemed to be running.

Could you plese post some pics of the bottoms of the Skunkworks and the HOTR? I have been told that the HOTR sponsons are angled and they taper towards the front. I don't own or seen a HOTR personally so I don't know if that is true.

SO, can you tell the difference?

Here it is. The HOTR sponson and the Sk sponson are 99% the same. The 1% difference is Sk has cleaner sharper lines. Lenght profile etc are the same. The tip to tail of rudder extension (over all length) is exactly the same dimension. The difference is the Sk transom is pushed forward giving it an appearance of a longer rudder extension. So basically everything that touches the water is the same boat.

By the HOTR sponsons being angled.. if you mean that the flat ride pads to not sit flush ona table, that is usually tru. But easily fixed as my HOTR now sits just as tru as my Skunk. Other than that... obviously the deck is a bit different and the radius on the inside front of the sponsons where it meets the deck is slightly larger than that of the HOTR.

You' re right but I really think that this is not a problem

Yeah I've seen a lot of them run really well. They run great as singles and duals.
