Out of the water it screems like I would expect, I was going to measure the speed but guess what... My tech' is broken...... TYPICAL!!!

Thanks Ozzie, I didn't think of that.. I'll give that a go and adjust the stingers up a little... I have ordered some EKOS porps so I'll give them a try also....

sounds like the props are just cavitating
Yes, On start, she does move off as I would expect and as you say.. more throttle and cavitation... My problem is finding the right props I think....
The first thing I did when I finnished putting it together was dump it in my bath at home and run it up... It send water 5' up the wall!!! I know, I'm a big kid and couldn't wait to get to the lake!!!! At least my bathroom floor's nice and clean!!! Lol!!! Just don't tell my wife!!!

if you get the ekos props and they work, then you should get a rough idea on what size you may want,if it will take a bit more prop etc.
then get a set of x442 counter props and if need be cut them down to suite.
one other thought try switching your props (and flex shafts) around so they spin outwards may do nothing but worth a try if they wont bite

Another thing I was thinking about is the programmed voltage of the ESC....I'd check the speed controls and make sure you have them programmed correctly and are not running in the LVC state. Not trying to insult anyone's intelligence but sometimes the "morse code" programming can be confusing. It's another free thing to look into also.

Great point. I did that once. Then after being dissapointed in the run, I changed a couple things and re-programmed the esc. I was checking the timing programming but re-did everything. Took the boat out and it was night and day difference. But the boat was planing (low 20s)

Its worth a shot as well.

Would I be better off with 2 bladed props????? Cutting props down is something I've never done and I gues I will learn quickly... If I go that way, I'll drop you a line on here to get some tips........

One more suggestion from my experience on sunday... check if the motor coupler was tight enough... my Wasabi with a 12L on 4S, 42mm Graupner carbon was barely doing 40kph.... then I saw the coupler... realized I installed the wrong one (for a 4mm flex, not 3.2mm)... will see next weekend.

                              OH... I hadnt noticed...

Nah its cool, Im curious what Dave finds. Its gotta be props...

Im waiting on stingers to arive. Meanwhile, between last night and this am, I patched the 2 notches that were in the front of the hatch lip on the deck and installed transom doublers so the stingers will really have a sturdy platform to push from.

Now that Ive got the patching done on the front lip (except for the sanding) I can get going back on the bulkhead and getting it installed. Hopefully I will get it done this evening.

Sorry if I have hi-jacked your thread.... Would you prefer I started a new thread????
I did find one thing and it probably won't make any differance but... I was looking through the spec's of the ESC's and motors... They can take, or so it says upto 4s... Do you think this is pushing it? or should I stick to the 3s packs ???
Also I have ordered the Venom prop's, could take some time to get to the UK though......
