I added 1mm carbon plate to thicken up this area and make it easy to glue in the sleeve for the stuff tube (so changing it would be easy in the future).

Boy those parting lines are low in the transom area. What kind of top speeds are you looking for? Nice build so far.....

              Thanks for the kind words....

I did not like the way the rudder works on this boat with cables and the off center arms really are a pain being so close the transom... so I decided that cables are not the way to go for me- rather micro heim joints are used for a slop free linkage using a carbon push rod (single) with an inverted boot and tube on the inside which just goops in for easy maintenance.

These are off the shelf Graupner items.

(removed lowest bolt on rudder to reveal a 2.5 mm hole threaded. a 2.5 mm stud is used to attach heim joint which also has 2.5mm thread.)

I like your thinking on this one.
That steering setup looks wrong to me.
To much of an angle on the arms.

                Nice work mate!!

that's actually scale, but it was not designed for function... i changed one of the heim joints out to a ball link cuz there was a tiny bit of axial play bolt two heim joints together. works perfectly now... now if my motors arrive soon I will get back on her... pretty much need them to go forward.
