The rear looks awfully long, but a beautiful shape nonetheless. Remember to place gear accordingly to get your CG at or very close to the trailing edge of the sponsons.

Why not put an outrunner in it and turn a large prop? You can probably use a smaller ESC you have sitting around. Plus you can keep it cheap and in lines with your build mentality.

Iv built it with no plans or measurements, just built it for a bit of fun (and was bored) this is the 1st 1 iv built like this,iv allowed enough room at the front to run 2 3s or 4s batteries, and just ordered my strut and rudder unit with a 47mm prop just for starters iv got a motor in mind so gonna go and get more details tomorrow of it.gonna mount the radio receiver, steering servo and reciever pack in the rear of the hull and see how that works out,ill take some more pics with some of the gear inside it just as a general layout.

maybe try a proboat combo or aquacraft combo, and see what speeds you can pull on 4s,you might be surprised with that light hull. Nice Build BTW,

                  Sounds like it's pretty big?

Looks about 25" from the pics, but I could be wrong.

A narrow rigger of sorts. Good job there
At 36" I would suggest a XL can for outright speed but a L can on 4S will get you plenty of smiles too.

CG should be adjustable as I am sure you know, and I would punt from the TE of the sponsons to anwhere near 15% aft of there.
I run my riggers with the CG at 18-23% of the afterplane and have had very few blow overs.
A CG at 10-15% aft is fine for a boomed rigger but yours may get a bit of lift under the stub wings as my experimental hydro does.
So you should aim for a 0-15% aft CG. to begin with and then move it back until it blows over.

                            Clear as mud ??
                            See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

Cheers bud,its the 1st iv built like this and looking forward to getting it on the water but working on a budget so can only order part or 2 at a time, what sort of kv you reckon motorwise im reletivly new to brushless systems so just getting used to them.
