    Motor Mount Removal

I would like to replace and upgade an exisiting motor mount in a 31" mono in order to get a better CoG adjustment, better batery placement and better motor cooling. Any suggestions on how to remove or soften the epoxy without destrying the hull? I'm slowly and carefully chipping it out but not sure I can work the mount loose. Also, any opnions on glueing the new mount in versus putting in some stringers and screwing the mount into the stringers? Thanks!

Use a soldering iron to soften the epoxy. Just becareful not to try too hard or you will puncture the hull.

i usually use a heat gun. it works well to soften the epoxy just be careful to much heat will deform the hull.
