Could not think of another title...
Well, same 30" project, modified drawing. It is about 2cm wider and with a couple of twists in the back, mainly to accommodate the hardware I already have.
Laser cut in 4mm lite ply (never again, too soft), covered in 2mm balsa (to give some space to sanding). Everything will be covered in fiberglass, filled and painted.
The inside hull is a sandwich of 0.8mm ply (outside), 4mm balsa, heavy glass cloth. Should be solid and elastic enough for the motor.
The motor, for now, is my 10XL, but will be probably replaced by a Tenshock 2240/7.
Same 2mm wiredrive on Graupner K45 (for now).
The 10XL will be powered by 2 x 5S 3000mAh 20C in parallel, the future Tenshock on 4S (TBA). Previous testing actually showed that 10XL on 6S is a bit too hot (cook eggs on the motor, even on a 42mm prop). ESC will probably be a Himodel 200A, watercooled.
Motor mount is also home made, still need to polish it a bit.
I did a bit of modding to the transom, as the mount plate of my hardware is a bit bulky, but it turned out quite ok. Just need the batteries to decide on the internal layout.
