    Cybercrxt's Personal Whip20 FE Build!

Well, I have been working so much on peoples Whip 20 cowlings, and Sailr's whip 20 that I have not had the time to work on my own kit. Hopefully I will have some time now to focus on this, and my 1/8th Scale FE Circus Circus WOF build. The whip is getting the following electronics:
-Medusa 36-60-2000kv motor, Was the 2200kv Medusa
-changed to 120a Hydra ESC- Was the turnigy in the pics.
    -4cell power- (2) 5000kv 40c Zippy packs
    -Speedmaster hardware
    -.187 Hughey flex cable
    -Vac U Mount

Here are the pics so far:

Thanks for posting and keep us updated on this build. Neat work...it looks like you applied fiberglass to bottom sheathing before gluing to frame.

Thanks guys. I will be keeping you updated. I am working on the sponson sheeting this week. Should have it done soon. Detox the floor was fully glassed before installation. I got this new 6oz cloth, that is really thin, and tight weaved, so I went for it. Turned out really clean. So far so good! MIke

The doubler is a cut down UL-1 Kintec part. Its prethreaded, and works great!

Very Cool, I took a different slightly approach when building my whip, I glassed a bit of 4mm thick carbon sheet to the inside of the tub for a doubler and ran a stainless bolt out the side into an angled bracket that is bolted to the sponson doubler.. the Bolt is shown in the below pic

Well, I put this project off a while, but worked on it some last week. sponson sheeting is done, inside glassed, and sponson tops installed. Now I need to do some sanding work, get my cowling made, and add the cowling deck, and some exterior epoxy, and it will be ready. Mike

                    Mike,
Did you get that hardware from me off Ebay? Looks like my stuff back in the day when I was building such. Not bragg'n just looks darn familiar! Great ideas in your build. Those lipos are decent. Been running a set for a couple months and wish they stayed cheap. I noticed the price has bumped up a bit recently and gotten popular too.

Well, its been done a little while, but never painted. Here is the finished hull. Still have to spray the cowling and then it will be done. Added ribbon stripe mahagony to the sponson tops. Enjoy, Mike
