    Fasteceh z-driv project

    Hi all!

This is my friends boat that I´m helping with.

Brand new from Steven, tested 20 meters to see that it works, and then...

Ripped every bit off, and added some fg .

atm it is on the paint booth, and waiting bits from OSE. (Z-drive 600, 600 motor and cooling bits)

We are not going to make this fast, the goal is to make it look GOOD!

Pate, take a look at my fastech for sale thread to see how she looks without the lightning bolts. I think she looks a lot better (to me).

      I'll be watching.

Actually we took the lightnings and the rest of the graphics off and painted the hull shiny black with red bottom. Smal red line on the sides too.

I´ll clearcoat it next sunday, will take pics then.

The helm/ hatch is the next thing to finish...-we filled that huge antenna hole allready.

The windshield is glued way too firmly... -any ideas how to get that off without breaking it?(it looks like lexan, but it cracks easily)
Or maybe I´ll just tape it and hope not to mess it with paint.

No, it is still on the way here(from OSE)

It is the smaller graupner unit that Steven sells.

            (pic from OSE shop)

We have that 820 model too for the larger boat(Finnsport project)

I dont have pics of it eighter.

Ok, the boat has some clear on it now.

In few days it gets wetsanded and polished.

              and the z-drive arrived.

The interior will be painted later on.

that looks pretty good, did you not put the brushless back in?

That brushless motor was too powerful for the z-drive.(power limit 100w), so we got the Graupner speed 600.

We will use only one battery pack to keep the revs down to about 18000.

And the plan was scale speed with reverse, so brushed should be fine.

We will also try to cover the rear deck with leather tomorrow.

If everything goes like planned, will do testdrive tomorrow also.

that sounds about right for scale speed. Putting the brushless on the z drive would just make it as good as a blackjack lol. I love your build, has made me think about something like that.
