    H&M Maritimo mono setup

Today I tried the Maritimo I bought from Ray, Feigao 580 8L, 5s2p, MGM 25035. What I noticed is that with props over 43 mm in diameter, the stern moves around unsteadily, but ran nicely with 642 and top speed was 45 mph (in sea water). What worries me a bit is that the motor got hotter than anything else 130F. I am opening some holes in the front-back plates now.
The good thing is that the boat launches very well even with small props 440-642 and runs better-more steady with small props. Therefore I need more rpm!

The steps in this hull are not on the same level, the forward are the deepest and the aft the shallowest. The strut is on the same level with the forward steps, so if you put the boat on a flat table the middle and aft steps do not touch the table, only the strut and the bottom of the fwd steps touch it.

So the rear steps do not contact the water while on plane? It seems that would be the case if the strut is deeper. Have you tried moving the strut up at all?

Not tried yet, just tested it for the first time exactly as I received it. Moving it upwards is my plan
