    Jim,

Are you actually READING what you are typing??? There is no "suggestion" for a bottom angle... It's listed in the suggested rules as a MAXIMUM.... If you have a hard time interpreting that, it means UP TO and INCLUDING 5-degrees... ZERO to 5-degrees.... that's 0 to 5 degrees... It's pretty clear that you can make it flat (i.e.: ZERO DEGREES) if you like...

This combative BS that you are spewing out here is really rediculous... There are a set of "rules" posted that were a suggested starting point. If you want to participate, participate. If you don't, then don't. If you aren't going to race at a National event, where the hosting club has a right to run specialty classes under whatever rules THEY determine, then why are you making such a fuss...

Chill out! This is suppose to be fun.

They race the full scale versions here in New Jersey. The bow is a little different but the hull designs the same. They run velvet drives and big block V8s in the open division . I've been offered a ride but declined. 100 mph in a 14 foot boat is a bit much...lol

Hmmm, I guess my "count" was off? I'm certainly not going to the Nats but if the 1/6 cracker takes off in our area, I want to be sure all the clubs are on the same page regarding the SS or rear strut. Yes, I know our club can do it any way they wish but I think its always better to stay within the rules. I would just like to see the shaft setup to be optional since these boats are not going to be judged for "scale".

How many are planning to run at the nats anyway? Its a mute issue if they are not going to come and race this class.

It all may ne a mute point depending on the classes run that day at the nats too! What if three other faviorate classes are on the same day? Cbox will get cut. I only run three boats a day. It is a national thing and we should be all on the same page after we find out what works best.

I have watched the FE guys and the Gas guys run the Cboxe's. The Gas guys started at a bout 30 MPH and are now running at some good speeds. At his years SAW's I watched a Gas CBox run in the mid 60ties I think. The FE Cboxes came and went, Most of the time I felt sorry for them.

Sorry if I up set any one.

Where's that? I've been to a number of full-scale races in NJ but never saw Crapperboxes, only JSS. The Region 3 schedule I found didn't have P on it (mostly hydros).

JSS is even MORE insane IMHO!

You have just proven to me that it's a waste of time even discussing this further with you... You obviously have NO idea about the people you are dealing with here, and frankly, you are rude and offensive...

Have fun with your Cbox build...

                    Thoughts

                    Boz,
I don't think the intention is for everyone to build the "exact" same boat. Lotsa different hulls in the hydro class, same in the mono class, I guess this will be the same. Some are building with wood, some are building with glass. There are all levels of skill and craftsmanship on this board. Some of the guys you are posting about have higher levels. I think it is great for you to offer your build templates, If I wasn't already past that stage, I probably would have taken you up on that offer. Also, I plan to mold mine out of glass. Enjoy it for what it is.. Good Luck on your build.

Scaring me? Not even a little.

                        Offending? Absolutely.

                        I certainly don't know what I'm doing.
