    16" Balsa Tunnel Hull

    Hi everybody,

I started to build a tunnel hull, based on plans on the net, I believe it is the tunnel Shell or Castrol type... did not save the title
I changed the size to something smaller, as I wanted to use some leftovers from other projects (materials & equipment).
Sponsons and tunnel are two layer balsa, glassed (still curing...). Cover is also curing, 1mm steamed balsa, covered with 2 layers of light glass cloth.
Motor is a Turnigy 2445, going to a Graupner flex and home brewed hardware.
For now the ESC is a Mistery 30A, with a Turnigy 3S 1500 20C Lipo.

Couple of questions for you guys:
    - is the depth of the tunnel enough? Now it is15mm at its highest.
    - will the motor be ok with this hull?

I am also thinking to cheat a bit and do sort of a fake outboard, by using the part you see in brass. Should give me the steering from an outboard, on a smaller scale.

    Waiting for suggestions...

    Cornel

Not much... it turned out too heavy, so I have to redo the hull. It's on my list, probably at number 4...
