Here are some other pics. Hopefully they will be ok. Don't have a normal cam right now except for my wife's blackberry. The position I have the strut at seem to level out the hull and the transom paralell. The hump in the hatch is more toward the starboard side a bit. My motor and mount should fit offset. I just threm the motor in. I have a cooling motor mount.

Hopefully you can get something out of all of these. Thanks!Comment

That's how I would do it, except I'd loose that hump for the original stuffing tube placement (that's just my preference)."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

Danny may have a point, the hump would restrict you from raising your strut much.
Great work, I think you have a decent starting place and will like it a lot. Just be sure you have same room up/down to adjust if you need. As
As far as angle, start with a little down (i.e. where the front of the strut is a tad higher than the back) on mine it wanted to do a flip at half throttle. Keep in mind that the angle of the dangle, oops I mean the strut controls the bow where the height controls the stern.
Try 2 deg negative to keep that bow on the water. You may need more and this is where the hump in the hull may start to limit that flexibility - good eye Danny!
You are on the right track man, great looking boat!!!"Look good doin' it"

Well if you are worried, you could reinforce the inside with fg, but don't know if really necessary."Look good doin' it"

Dont mount the strut anywhere else. Mount at the hump. Then drill the hole for the stuffing tube then use a round file to make a slot instead so you can raise or lower the strut maybe 1/8". Seal it with HVAC thumb gum , aka monkey sh!t. Its a removable sealer for line sets so you can play with the strut height and still be water tight.
