    Carbon Fiber 4S Rigger

Just started a build of a Carbon fiber 4S Rigger. This boat has a primer coating right out of the mold.

        Randy,
Can you please give detailed postings with your progress on this build. I would like to build one of these after some of my other projects are done. I will be following this build thread closely. What did you have planned for ESC and motor?

I think a pitcure is worth a thousand words, and besides that I do not spell well and type slow as heck. But I will do my best this boat will have a CC 240 LV, I think a 1527 1D,4S 2P not sure what cells. It will have my stainless steel strut. Motor mounts are from south river boats. The hull is joined and the backers are on the sponsons.

Installed the sponsons today, looking more like a boat.

Each time I build another one of the boats in the "Lift Master" series, I have to hand cut a new rear bracket. This bracket changes from build to build because of an impatient customer who rushed me and I had to sell the originals bracket to him and get the job done faster. So my original "Spirit of the Eagle" the boat that started the series does not have its bracket. Not a big deal some day I will build another to keep the boat intact. What does happen it the bracket gets better and better. This is the latest one for this boat.

For this build the person I am building the boat for wants a motor mount from Jim in florida. This prompted me to build the new mounts in the second picture below. They work with out having a CNC, it is what I can build in my shop to get the job done (that is running fast boats on a budget) and the cost is not bad either.

When setting up a flex shaft a good way to find out the placement of the motor is shown in the picture below. Most of the time I cut the flex shafts to size in the kits i build.
I am getting ready to build the motor mount stringers out of CF hard board.

A few more up dates. The glue does not move too fast in the cold.

I had to remove one of the CF tubes from the right sponson and then I installed the turn fin.

Got the feathers installed on to the paint work tomorrow.

I also finished the turn fin.

I have one hole to drill for the water cooling, then I will be taking the boat apart for painting. I had to move the hull to on top of the Belt sander and from my work station at the computer it looks soo cool!
