    Pickle with Blackjack motor

Anybody running this combo? Is this the same motor Proboat puts in their hydro?

    Thanks for the input

YES! great motor for this boat - you can go 5-6 S (you might want a higher amp ESC), but even on 4S she will do upper 30s. On 6S I got my Elam up to 56mph... If you end up using that motor, get a Himodel 125 amp esc (like $40) if you don't have something better, waterproof it and water cool it. Then convert to larger bullets (I use 5.5mm) as they will melt right after the second turn.

Just my experience with these motors... I LOVE EM!!!

Hydro is a Hydro. The motor works well in a 26 to 30 inch boat. I have ran mine in my sport lots of fun, speeds in the 45 to 50MPH for me.

What are you doing for a prop on that unit Randy?

I run a x440/3 blade with mine. Comes in stone cold with about 2000mah pulled out of my packs. 42ish mph with a gps. We limitted our SSH class to 40mm blades so I went with a 3 blade to make up for the lose in KV. Personally I think it can run with alot more prop. Hull is one of Brian Bueuueeususssuuese (did I spell that right?) shovel noses.

I use the motor and speed control from proboat. I really want to blow that motor (only way I can justify a new one) but have had no luck. I haven't even oiled the bearings in 2 seasons and I bought it used.

            I am running a X445 on my mono right now. On my hydro in 2008 I ran a 642, I also like a 42X55 a lot.

I like the 642s with this motor, good speed and pretty low mah draw, considering almost 60mph...
