New paint job for matrix

I threw a new paint job on this Matrix, I was after a Penske Indy car look. Notice that the hatch tape area was left in primer so that no paint can peel off. I used a flexible auto bumper primer. Also notice the heat shrink over the adjustable sponson booms. Its been about two months since I have run it, I hope it is more visible now.

Nice! Looks like all it needs now is some United States Coast Guard stickers on it! J/K!

They were made around 2004 by Climate boats in Canada , they are not made anymore, I still have another kit in the box that I hope to build some day. I also traced every part on some heavy paper for scratch building.

I think you can still buy the "Ultra" (Climate) from Fine Design ...something like $89.00. Buy from them at your own risk though...Ive read some threads about trouble with FD...

The Matrix Ultimate was made a little lighter than the first Matrix, I think it is too light and weak in many spots, with todays motors and lipos this rigger can go over 60mph and it must be re-enforced in some areas. I was in contact with FD about this kit, but it was two or three years ago.

The Blizzard Ultra is still sold through FD, that is a smaller version of the Matrix however.
