Seriously contemplating a triple mono project

Has anyone seen or tried to do a triple in a mid sized mono? I was thinking of some high kv motors in maybe a 45 Sniper hull or an MHZ Cougar, or ??? Surface drives, double rudder setup?
    Thoughts?

    Thoughts? Sweet
    Comments? Do it
    Opinions? You rock

I think it would be a very interesting project to say the least. I always see these fountains being trailered around w/ triple Mers on the back and have thought a couple times... I wonder how that would work in the world of FE?????

WOW! 3 motors, 3 ESC, 3 props and one big ass rudder with a servo that can handle the torque. The batteries seem like the possible problem. Sounds sweet, but I'm all ears!

I was actually curious if HPR was still around and if they still made the double rudder

How would you configure the prop rotations?

Yea, I was thinking about that and will probably just have to have one counter rotating prop. I wonder how the big boys do it?

Try and find pics of full scale applications of what you are aiming at... Would be interesting for us all to see!

Like everyone who has tried this, you will have problems in the turns with surfacing props. Running straight ahead no problem. But the inside motor will overheat and the outside motor will spin up too high as the boat heels over in the turns. If you run off three different packs then one will drop off far ahead of the others. In a hull that turns flat - like a cat - this can be done. It is problematic in most monos.
