Delta Force Cyber Storm placement Q's

I recently purchased a Delta Force Cyber Storm 32" hull that I intend to use for P-mono heat racing.

Could some of you DF owners share your component layout pics. I'm having a hard time trying to determine where to put the motor, ESC, and packs (2 x 4S 5000mAh).

I have also seen mention of the CG being approximately 30-32%. Does that mean... Take the total length and multiple by .3 to get the distance from the transom?

    Thanks for the newb help.

I would refer you to LipoPower Robert. He bought mine and I know from driving it that it was laid out very nicely. It would ride perfectly and was super stable. the batts were in front of the motor on a nice little pad. Here is the sale thread for some pics, but hopefully Robert might chime in and offer his experience.

Hi LuckyDuc, I'll give you some setup help. I own a DF33 and is the sister boat to the one JesseJ sold to LipoPower. For that boat you have I would recommend starting off with your CG at 30%, which would be 9.9" measured from the back of the transom. You can use your lipos to balance the boat at this marked point. I'll attach some pics of the component layout and if you have anymore questions feel fee to ask.

WOW! Those are some sweet looking boats! Thanks for the pics and tips guys! It is really appreciated.

Where does one find a fancy motor mount like that?

When checking the CG on a mono hull, do you balance it upside down?

you might have to pick one up used, looks like Jim William's racing mounts are no longer? Discontinued at OFE, maybe he is still making them?

No need to balance it upside down. I just use my two fingers and that is close enough for me

well that orange boat has "rails" your boat has no rails so if you want a rail mount you would have to fab two short rail sides which is not hard to do

whats wrong with the mount that came with your boat?...what motor you using?

Steven and me carry these and they work great for v-hulls, cats or hydros for that matter. They make a v hull motor sit down nice and close to the floor.

I had to remove the motor mount and stuffing tube that came with it as I want to do an irrigated/floating stuffing tube... Plus the tube that was installed in my boat was for a .125 cable. I want to run a .187 cable with a Neu 1521/1.5D.
                        Hence the mods.

The mount and tube that came with the boat were surprisingly easy to remove. I pulled on it with 1 finger and the glue popped loose.

Will a Neu 1521 bolt to one of these? If so, that looks like a good mount.

You will probably not understand a single word, but have a look at the pics...
