    Rumdog's copycat stretch renegade

Just Finished up this build and figured I'd put up some pics. Inspired by Diegoboy's stretch renegade rigger. Octura hardware. I wanted to go right side rudder, but thecontrol arm on the rudder is fixed. I really enjoyed building this kit.Fairly easy, and great instructions! I used some carbon fiber plate that I drilled and trimmed up for the boom supports and turn fin bracket. It is super rigid! I sanded a bit of angle to the outsides of the sponsons just for looks. I like the way it looks on the blizzard rigger, so I gave it a whirl. Gave it 2 coats of stain to finish er' up real pretty. Running a 3300kv 400df outrunner. I've got a 40 amp esc on the way, but my maiden run tomorrow will be with just a 25amp. Gonna go with a x431 to start. Maiden run tomorrow!!

        Very cool. Well done!
I see you used the standard rudder config. It'll be interesting to see if there is any difference in handling since my rudder is on the opposite side.

WOOHOO! she rips! 3 runs today! First with x431, then y531, then x631. It was sooo much faster than my old rene. Thermaled the 25 amp esc in about 1 minute on the x631. Can't wait to get my 40 amp! Corners super flat and wot turns are no prob at all. It is suprising how well it handles a little chop, it eats it right up. Vid hopefully this weekend, if it ever stops raining.

Looking forward to a video! I want to build another one of these little monsters! Your mod looks cool, and from what you say makes the boat a little bit more forgiving on the chop.

Thanks for the inspiration Danny! Oddly the 3300 kv motor runs much cooler than my 2600kv. I don't get it, a good thing though. Danny, was the water pickup in your sponson flush with the ride pad? On the original rene i mean. Thought of cooling my esc, but we'll se how the 40 amp does.
