I am really wondering how all this equipment is going to fit in the hull and not make it sink! The water jackets on the 1527's are going to be a tight fit. I think I may have to make my own motor mounts...

You can get pre-cut C/F motor mounting plates and servo mounts together with the transom doublers for your HPR from AE-Carbontec. Email Andreas. He is a good guy to deal with. I bought my parts for my first HPR06 from him.

Nope! I have AE-Carbontec's motor mount and I had my Neu 1521's mounted in my HPR.

1521 and 1527 have same mounting holes so maybe its length wise? since u have to kinda angle them to get the drives to line up...?

The 1527 are a longer can than the 1521's. But there is lots of room to mount either one. The motor mount plate has to be angled down and inboard toward the stuff tube. I would suggest finding a solid aluminum rod to help position the motor plates. Mock setup the motor, collet and alum. rod and the stuff tube. I would then permanently epoxy the stuff tube into position first, before the motor plate.

I have the motormounts from AE-Carbontec and also the motor mounts from HP. HP said his mounts are for the Lehner motors. I can put the HP & AE mounts next to each other and they are identical. I am almost positive they come from the same CNC machine. Mounting holes match the 1527's perfectly. Its just going to be a tight fit using these mounts, pointed inboard and down and have the water jackets on them. Tight, but I think it may just fit. Have not done a mach-up yet.

Are you running counter rotating props or both the same way??

Im going to run Neu 1518 on 5S so i can race in the 10S class here in Australia.

What speeds do you expect from your 1521 and 1527 setups?????

V, I will need to re-shape the motor mounts a little bit. Also, the transom doublers need to be re-shaped for a perfect fit. I may trace out some new ones once I get some C/F.
I am not sure what kind of speeds mine will run. I am going to run 6S to start. Not sure on props yet. Was thinking X442 & X442R.
