Back from the pond and adjustments are needed. It GPS'ed at 42.7 mph but the rooster tail was awesome, 10 feet high and 15 - 20 feet long. Which means I need to adjust the stinger down a bit. It had a bad hop in the turns so I will need to angle the turn fins down a bit more as well. I also need to adjust the rudder turn ratio as I rolled the boat when I turned it to sharp. Sorry no pictures or video as I was by myself.

Cool. I'm sure you'll nail the set up. Just takes a little time. What prop were you using?

Mike I was using a modified Prather 225S - it had a bit of the tongue taken off and was back cut. I may prop down a bit for the next run.

Does the Prather have more lift than the Octura X/M series? That may have been a factor in the hop.

It doesn't have more lift but it does have more pitch. It could very well be that it was enough to overcome the turn fins at times causing the hop - but I am not sure as this is my first v-hull.

Okay Chuck, Keep up the good work and keep us advised of your adjustments and how they effect the boat.

For the first run it was at 30%.

Made the 2nd run today and still have problems with it hopping in the turns.

and this is the end result.

Sorry you fried your Etti Chuck. Do you think it was from voltage spikes from the boat hopping in the turns? Did you make any adjustment from the first run? Still using the Prather prop. What are your outboard tabs set at? She looks pretty good in the staights.
