Allright, It started out at 23 bucks on Ebay and then another 200 and 4 different setups I'm getting close. Turn fins and a bigger prop. Motor is running at 93 as well as the ESC. Lipos around 105. Cooling is not my problem so it's time to heat up the motor!!!

Good Job. I knew you could get that to perform...Kind of puts some silence into those doubting Thomas's eh? Do you have brush cooling on that motor?

$/mph That is one of the best I have seen.
I am a low cost guy too and love to go fast with what I can afford. Any aster and I can't afford it.

For a fun/sport boat the 700 in that application is at about its max. If you trim/tune the hull and get more speed then that is all good.
If you prop up or powerup and push the motor any harder then all the fun will go out the door.

It might be time I got my 700 replanted in a hull for a good fun run at the pond , instead of tring to squeeze all the life out of the other setups and hulls that I have.

Well done man. You have given me something to do.

            Simon.

OK I'll go ahead and admit when I first saw the picture I thought "How the heck is he running that motor with no hull"......That table looks just like water.

I want to prop up and was thinking in the range of the x646 or 647 but I would like to try the plastic stuff first. I looked graupner props but they are all 1.4 pitch, I would like to stay with the 1.6 and go to a 46mm prop and see what happens. Any suggestions? I could get 3 or 4 plastic ones for the price of an octura and then if I find one that works I'll get the corresponding Octura. P.S. Here is a pic on the first run as the water is just starting to exit the 5+ feet of tubing and from the looks of the rooster it is not at full speed but this is how the boat rides, way dry. I've ordered bj26 turn fins to help it go straight. Thanks

I believe the "S" series are 1.6 pitch. You may have to modify it to fit a 3/16" shaft. OSE has them to 42 mm.
BTW, it looks pretty good on the water.

I'm using a bj26 outdrive with the stock prop shaft which I think is 4mm and I made the adapter to accommodate the 642. It appears the outdrive can handle a 48mm prop without hitting the cooling bar so I want to try 46, 47mm. I have the need for 35 and I'll be done, except for a new paint job, Pearl white with purple and orange highlights

Maybe you can try this one..http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=grp-2317.45

It's kind of hard finding a larger S series. Maybe you can email Steve and see if he can get you what you're looking for.

Where did you find the K series? I don't see it on the website but is there another one that goes bigger? I'd like to try the 45 though. Okay, let me run this by you. The connection between the hull and the top has a lip the full length of the boat. It appears to be 1/4 inch wide and 3/16 deep. This thing rides so dry, I cannot figure it out. If you look at the pic, the motor and batt are located at the post between the front window and back triangle one. There is a lot of cantilever from the outdrive to the front. I think this channel of the joining hull to top has created a lot of lift for the boat. Newquida has designed the first deep vee compression hull! There is no other way to explain the ride plate.

Sorry, I don't understand. Do you have a pic to clarify? Also, do you have pics of the inside?
