    Impromptu Rescue boat

Last night after work I got home at 10pm. I realized my fleet needed a rescue tug.
I started building one with no plans, no kit, no kidding! I took some Sintra and a pool noodle, and this is the result...

The smoke stack is an empty bottle of CA glue I used to build it!
    ...it's a start

That looks pretty good without plans. Might I make a suggestion? It would be easier to grap boats if...

Looks good but IMO it could use 4 to 6" more forearm.

That looks like a great project. Being new to the hobby, I have been thinking about making a rescue boat (after all its just a matter of time).

What is the main wheelhouse portion made from? I notice they are similar on both tugs.

Nice job Diego, an inspiration for sure!

Very cool Diego! Just think what you can come up with next time you have some time and identify a "need". I'll have that ESC with me for you.

The pilothouse is from the seaport tug (like wolf's) Dirty threw his away a long time ago, I kept the pilothouse. The windows broke, so I used lexan that I tinted, then cut to fit.

That is a really cool idea. I have been putting some thoughts into a rescue boat lately, as I am sure one will come in handy with my limited knowledge.

Are those parts still produced as replacement parts? I will do some looking around. Thanks for the idea Diego.

Is that the "brushed" ESC i need for this tug?

Yes, robbed from my rescue project I haven't been able to get around to.

                              More details please!

                              1. Where did you get the Sintra?
                              2. What kind of power are you using?
                              3. Will there be extension arms or something to 'rope in' the boat you're rescuing?

                              Very cool!
