started build this A.M.
it is my first wood boat build.

Looks great! Pardon my absolute ignorance, first two pictures in post #2: is that a steam engine or a dummy internal com. engine---I feel so ridiculous just to ask this question, lol...

It probably represents a marine version of the Curtis XO-5 aircraft engine. That engine was used in several WWI aircraft and was popular in race boats between the wars - lightweight and powerful.

Aw! Ha! the engine is from the SIG kit 1909 Antoinette. i still haven't flown her.
just had to put it their, never took pics of it before, some of the parts were scratch build.
the build was fun and tedious being everything on the graceful craft is light weight and prone to break.

ok, glassed & resin final side.

see the the scissors (free from harbor freight) cuts this glass just fine.
i don't like glassing, this took too long, now two more coats of resin on sides, deck and hull.
transom and and hatch are done.
the metal detail for this kit is really rough on most parts (Thank God for Dremel).

i truly believe (after building an Hurricane Motorsports Cobra)
i could have built a real C.C. 16' boat on the the time it has taken this 24" model

some of these people are so dang talented. any way i'm giving it my best.

just a note: the resin sands pretty easily with the 220 wet sandpaper, i was surprised.
two more coats and onto the running hardware.
