Regarding the people coming to America and not speaking our language , or not even attempting to speak English, sickens me. I am constantly dealing with this in southern Louisiana, especially working in the oil field. A LOT of companies around here in major ports and shipyards employ hundreds if not thousands of illegals (in a country where unemployment is at an all time high) and it wouldn't be so bad if most of the immigrants were respectful. Whats bad about all this is it makes me feel prejudice against a certain race. I'm not racist but if im going to spend an extended period of time in another country , you better believe i will try to pick up on the language out of respect for the people. I would also feel better about all this if most of these people would do things the right way and get the appropriate paper work, be it a visa/greencard or whatever.
With all these illegals running around driving with no insurance, when you get hit head on by them and they kill your family they get deported(MAYBE) and you have to eat all the bills.
sorry just my rant

Borders are imaginary lines made by men. I dont give a sh*t about so-called illegals. The way I see it is you only live once and do what you gotta do to support yourself and loved ones. Regardless of ridiculous imaginary borders and racists. Our "language" is whatever language a person speaks. I am un-aware of any language laws yet, but wouldn't be suprised to see them someday.Comment

Do you pay taxes? Get ready to pay more to support the illegals and then explain to your loved ones they will have less because you want open borders.Steven Vaccaro

They're only open if you speak Spanish and come from Mexico. My mother and her family came here LEGALLY from Germany. They were war refugees at the time (1951) but there was still a quota.
I'm all for people coming to America, don't get me wrong. I have quite a few friends who came here from other countries, but they all did it the legal way. One of them (Nestor) is from Columbia. He speaks Spanish, came here legally (just got his citizenship about 2 years ago - he had to study for it!) and has no tolerance for illegals. Why should he?!? It was HARD to get in legally, as it should be.
These "open borders" just let the riffraff from other countries get offloaded. Remember the Cuban imports a few years ago? LOTS of those were just prison inmates that Castro offloaded to us.
