I've come to the conclusion that the initial attacks on Obama are more racist than ever. I mean if anybody really wanted to inquire about who's running this country (world) and making it's policies, 99.977777% are not of Obama complexion, But to have this African American aspire to set precedents sort of like how that saying goes, my brother can screw me, but not you. The Point is, RICH white men run the world, Period! and no intermediate is gonna change that, every President beginning with Lincoln, Knew the rules and if the didn't they would be taught a permanent lesson.

That is truly what I wish to be.

ANY opinion I have about Obama or how this country is being run has NOTHING what-so-ever to do with his race, gender, or any other distraction the left wants to come up with... it has to do with policies and idealogy.

To try to turn any of this into a conversation about race is a typical distraction technique to avoid talking about the issues and the actual merrit of the ideas... It usually arrives in the conversation about the time someone pins down any one of the many inconsistancies of the current administration, and it's supporters have nowhere else to turn...

            Hear, hear.

It's like the left is saying we can't dislike him because of his socialistic policies, it has to be because he's black!

Which is of course, idiotic on its face.

But, as always, ya just hafta consider the source, shrug, and move on.

It is often the case that it is the RACIST that cries racism when it was never even a topic of the discussion in the first place.

I truly don't care what Obamas color is, I do not agree with what he is doing, specifically, this tax and spend agenda during a recession. THAT is why I did not vote for him.

Obama, Polices are the same Policies that Bush had, Clinton had, Bush Sr , Reagan had and so forth, it may sound different to the outsiders. But they All have one common goal...Corral the wealth from the masses of the people. Point Blank Period! just because you get some crumbs and are content, doesn't mean the rest of the population should lay down and take it.

Darin, I don't think your opinions of Obama are racially motivated. You have made some valid points in the past. You have a passion for your political ideologies as do many others. However, some do base their assessments of Obama, in part or wholly, on the color of his skin. The media has proprigated the stereotypical views of minorities. Raising fear and mistrust of blacks. Prompting many to purchase weapons and ammunition to ward off "the threat" We as americans have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

Is this why the top ten percent of wage earners in this country bear fifty five percent of the federal tax burden? And BTW, my wife and I earned no more than 40K, (before I got laid off) are raising five kids, and our federal tax last year was ZERO. Yet you would have some believe that "poor" people like me are being exploited?

My concern is for the small business owners (the ones who do create jobs) who are payiing MORE tax under this administration.

The top 10 percent of wage earners (by population) EARN more than 50% of the wages paid, so it follows that their tax burden is higher. Even under a flat tax the higher your wages the more tax you pay, so of course higher wage earners pay more tax in absolute dollars. This is one of those meaningless statements that are used to make a point because people are too lazy to actually think about what is being said.

The fallacy here is the upper 10% make 10% of the total wages, and that just is not the case.

But is sure sounds good, doesn't it??
