I also took my F1 Hornet to the lake and gave it it's first run. I removed the origonal esc and replaced it with a 120 amp Turnigy. The boat is a dream to drive but a little slow. OSE will fix the slow part with a new motor soon. I forgot to take the gps but I guess a little over 30 mph on 3s and when you think I get 75 mph on 3s in my rigger you can see why I want more speed. The hull was dry after the run. I have added flotation as there is none in it when you buy it but what do you expect for $129.99. You can add $50 to that for a decent esc.
The only bad thing I noticed was that the motor runs very hot. Again OSE will fix that with a better motor IMO.

That would make that black thing leaning against the car a paddle. I will take it all back to the guy at the LHS and insert that paddle where the sun don't shine.Several boats in various stages of destructionComment

Well guys the Hornet F1 was tested again this morning with the gps. Speed was 49.7 kph or 30.88 mph so I was very close with my 30 mph guess yesterday. I want to see 45 mph with this baby so I will have to look at some motor options to replace the stock one.
Andy,
The props and our secret weapon arrived in the mail this morning. Very impressed with the finish on those props and our secret weapon will make this boat go down in the FE history books. Man this thing is gunna blow the fish out of the water as it passes by.Several boats in various stages of destructionComment
