There's rumor of one of these at 98mph.. but nothing specific Ive found.
Paddy's was sorta interesting.... far from his fastest
The one you sent to John Watkins passed over my desk 2010? .. ditto sorta interesting but no world beater.
Im here playing with known equip just to see what if... this hull is now mine to drill and glue and bend and mend.
Always looking for extra advice.. seems you're the man to know, Randy.

What do you know about this hull setup that I would appreciate to learn ??

The trick is getting a ESC to hold up to the amp draw, the 98MPH run was with a 1527 1d 6s1P V947 if memory serves me correct.

          wow, only 10mph more than my(now Paddy's) maritimo on 6S 1512 twin.
I aim for more than that here.

chuckle.. esc are not a problem.. I'll just ramp up output to whatever is required.

Inclination should be at 3.5 degrees that is the big deal. strut flat on the table, tub at zero in center.

You can not compair a twin to a single that was done three years ago.

ferrari is an Italian race horse .. but the karmann ghia ?
Down here Ghia is attached to Ford..

Car branding means little across continents, Randy... although I follow the suggestion.

They were rather expensive and much sort after when I was about 20 years old Randy. Somewhere between a VW and a Porsche. Ford have adopted the name for their top of the range models. The Doc is probably too young to remember the good old classic we remember. Mind you he still chases the same women I do... ones between 20 and 90.

Some South Australians think I have given up boats because I have been spending so much time with my model cars and gliders. Not so. This morning the wind was at 31 kph and I know that puts a good chop on the lake I go to so it was out with my Drambuie On Rice to see how it handled the rough water. Not knowing how it would handle in such chop I only ran it on 6s but I was more than pleased at how it handled those conditions. It just ran over the rough stuff like it was not there and left me wishing I had taken bigger batteries.

                                Setup
                                Neu 2215 1.5 Y, X457, Swordfish 300, 6s lipo = 68 kph or 42.25 mph

Not fast but it starts to come alive on 9s and just loves 10s. I am hoping to get out again tomorrow with a bigger battery.

The picture below was not taken this morning but posting it to show how I have arranged things in the hull.
