My dad had a 15 foot runabout boat that he raced and we done some water skiing with but for the Swan seasons it was our Battle Boat that we chased the Swans with. Can you imagine how exciting it was for a 16 year old boy to be in the boat while dad drove the boat into the groups of Swans and 3 men with shotguns unloaded as many pellets into those feathered fools. Bang, Bang bloody Bang. Feathers and Swans going everywhere. We gave several boatloads away to guys with small slow boats. They are the best bird I have ever eaten.
Do gooders need not even comment on this post as IMO the young of today need some times like this with older men. My dad took me Kangaroo, Deer and Rabbit shooting also. We went fishing, water skiing and scuba diving together. My dad was my best mate back then. I thank him for my interest in model boats today as I can remember him building me my first battery powered boat when I was about 12. No radio controls and I could walk faster but to me it was my prize possession.
      Wow !
they had batteries back then !
Doh, of course they did. else clocks wouldnt work....

I never had the opportunity to 'line one up' when profiling your BDcat, but the rigger in signature has proven a good harvester the base ingredient of pate'

Ever seen the SA film, StormBoy c1976 ? My father one the hunters culling pelicans. .. an 'extra' ..
Which is a laugh coz the silly git couldnt hit the ducks at a shooting gallery.....
But he could fight .. taught me to fight.. started early by teaching what losing felt like.... interesting bloke.

In the industry I work in there are many of those. Sorry to hear about your childhood. You sure have had a lot of pain in your life. You have turned out to be a fine person despite it all.

BTW I am off to the Doctors again in the morning. I am tired of this pain in the chest. An internet diagnosis says I have Angina. Whatever it is, it is messing up my life. Anything that even resembles exercise and I have the pain and shortness of breath.

You silly Git.. Angina is nature's way of saying it is time to behave.
Angina is a warning from the heart saying it aint happy.

You know the old saying about cream rising to the top Douggie. You and all the natives of this thread are up there at the top. There are a hell of a lot of others on the OSE forum that are up there with you,,, Doug Smock, Proper Chopper, Jay Turner, Jan (UbHauled), Meniscus, Diego Boy and countless others. You all give us bottom dwellers something to aspire to.
                          to you all

For those that are all ears here is what the Doc said...
                              1. Angina
                              2. High blood pressure
He gave me medication to lower the blood pressure and spray to spray under my tongue with for the Angina. I am to take Asprin each day and he gave me some tabs incase I get indigestion.
He said there is an urgent need for me to do a stress test and I have to get my blood tested.
Hardly worth putting on a clean pair of underpants for really.

Paddy, you are in our thoughts.....When I was in Scotland 2 months ago I conked out at the rental car area...woke up in an ambulance ...spent 2 days at the Paisley hospital ....multiple tests, MRI, ESG and blood tests and nothing was wrong according to the cardioligist. He sugested a lack of water on the long flight and waiting for custom/imigration process was the issue
