    Andy and Paddy

    I think we just lost two extreme idiots and friends from this forum which is a real shame, as they had me in fits of laughter and to their FE knowledge. If you are out there guys show us a flag. Miss you

        Douggie my friend, how could I leave here. They will have to carry me out in a box to get rid of me. I have just been doing long hours at work (70+ a week) so I am either working or sleeping.
        I never stop thinking about the people on this forum and the hobby. I am always planing how I can get another mph out of my boats or what fun I can have with you guys.
        Andy is correct about the money. I will not let that come between me and my friends. Women have cost me more money than boats ever will and I cant stop loving them either.
        Andy got a hit below the belt when his 240 hv esc went up in smoke and I think that took the wind out of his sails a bit. We all know Andy is made of tough stuff and he will bounce back. I will be here a bit more this week I think and if the weather is suitable I will even test a boat. I am hoping my new Elite Lipo is here for that. Jan (UbHauled) recommended them to me and he gets to see some fast boats so he should know what he is talking about.
        I want to send a couple of beers to Simon in New Zealand also. Infact here are some beers for all of you.

          Yesd Paddy you are right, and on closer inspection the 580L 1050 kv motor is stuffed too! On the upside I tried a CC240, 580L 6L 2150Kv ( from my DF33) and a m545 on the sport 40 and it ran sweet. The Hyperon 35c 4s packs were 135 deg, motor 145 deg and esc 140 deg after a hard 3 min run. Speed a bit low at 55mph but over all a good day.
          I wanted to run this hull on 4s to start with but listened to people telling me a hull of this size needs high volts. Well crap. yes it is 36" long but the associated drag of a good hydro is alot less than say a 33" mono.
          Volts = $$$$
          Soooooo I am seriously thinking of the 580L 7 wind, 1894kv with a Etti 150 , 4s 2p and start with a 447/3 prop. I do not know if they are going to replace the HV 240 yet. A 1521 Neu 1.5D and a CC240 is a better option but cash is tight.
          Paddy good luck finding time to run a boat.
          Cheers all and if there are any ideas on running the Whip 40 on 4 s please chime in.

              I think because me and the Paddster have not stuffed up anyone's thread or got threatened by the over eager thought police lately that we have gone over to inland waters!
              Well Douggie we are still here, I am waiting for your offer of capital to expand my kangaroo cheese gig. It is going to take off on the market with a bound so to speak as long as the RSPCA does not find out how we milk them, Ha Simon should know what I am talking about ( he likes goats) and Douggie we all know that SHEEP are a lot more fun. However the best milk comes from the Kangaroo!!!

                It would appear that Douggie was a tad "premature",,,,,,,,,,,thinking they had left.

                    Great guys. As John said a bit premature. I got concerned as Paddy's pm box was full for quite a few days and no banterring from Andy. Paddy, it is great that the work hours are now longer than you were previously experiencing. I will now shut up, upart from Roo milk

                      John what day/s in July and where? I am not a member of AMPBA, IMPBA, UMPBA or POO BEAR but if I am not working I might come and look with the view of racing next year. Someone there might need an orange boy on the day/s.
